React Job: Software Engineer

Teletrac Navman is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider leveraging location-based technology that empowers people managing mobile assets to move their business forward with certainty.

This is a hybrid role that will require you to be in the Camberwell, Melbourne, Australia office some days, but you will also have the option to work from home.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Software Engineer and member of our R&D team, you will collaborate with our global team working on market-leading fleet telematics products and will help design, develop, test, deliver and maintain solutions.

You will help us in our mission to solve our customers’ problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, enhancing and maintaining Teletrac Navman software solutions.
• Assuming technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process; take on tasks in coding, testing, requirements gathering, design, delivery and support of new and existing features and applications.
• Assisting with analyzing requirements for new products
• Ensuring a strong focus on delivery, execution and the customer

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be equipped with:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant field and/or equivalent significant, relevant industry experience
• At least 4 years of experience in web/software design and development
• Strong knowledge and experience with JavaScript, CSS3, and front-end development technologies
• Experience in ReactJS & Ruby on Rails is highly regarded
• Experience with responsive design and UX
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies in a DevOps environment is advantageous
• Good knowledge of test automation framework and continuous integration
• Worked in an agile development environment
• Strong attention to detail and has demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems skills and the ability to come up and communicate quick and creative solutions
• Familiar with Typescript or ECMAScript is highlighted regarded.
• Have the day-to-day experience of git or bitbucket.
• Ideally to have experience with Google Map API.
• Have experience with Frontend Unit Testing
• The ability to work independently and in a team contributes to improving software quality and being able to share knowledge
